Remember when Leo DiCaprio was robbed in 2005?

The Aviator

In truth, it was a powerhouse of a performance. Perhaps still the best ever of one of the Top 10 male film actors of his generation.

As well as being the most realistic, detailed and vital depiction of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder ever committed to film, The Aviator was Martin Scorsese's last great film.

Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio is a genius.

The level of self-awareness, hopelessness, fear and finally acceptance of a man who finally understands that, despite everything he has achieved, he will never be able to defeat his own mental illness, that he is able to convey in the film's final scene is astonishing and itself was worthy of the 2005 Oscar.
